Purple Fusion Graphics, located in Huntington Beach, California, was developed in 2002 by graphic designer Terri Fassio. Terri brings her artistic expression, and nearly 20 years of experience in the industry, to the business. She is a founding partner of the successful Connecticut design firm, TnT Typesetting, established in 1990. From an early age, Terri showed her creativity by drawing and designing. She was involved with the arts, music and theatre throughout her schooling, and was one of the editors on her High School yearbook. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Castleton State College in Vermont, with concentrations in Journalism and Fine Art. During her college years, Terri was an active student, such as being Editor of the college newspaper for three years, and won numerous awards, including Freshman of the Year, the National Humanities Award, the Distinguished Service Award (highest award given by the college), and the prestigious Abel E. Leavenworth Leadership Award. Terri began working with the Macintosh computer just as Macs and "Desktop Publishing" first came into being. After working for
the Addison Independent newspaper in Middlebury, Vermont, she decided
to alter course and pursue her love of art and design, working as the
lead designer and typesetter for Print Master of Torrington, Connecticut,
a position she held for nearly 13 years. It was during this time she learned
the practical aspects of design and production, under the wing of established
printer Burton McKay. Terri's skills with page layout and graphics software
made her a valuable resource for the local design industry. In addition to serving her clients, Terri enjoys serving the community. She is the Entertainment Coordinator for the Connecticut Agricultural Fair, and heads their marketing and design committee along with the Fair President. She is a long-standing member of numerous non-profit organziations, including the Connecticut State Grange, the National Grange, and the Little Red Schoolhouse Association. She was listed in "Who's Who of American Women" in 1989, and 1990. Terri's varied design portfolio includes logos, brochures, posters, business identities, annual reports, packaging design, booklets, menus, invitations, Web sites and more. Terri has also developed and taught courses on computer-aided design to students and designers throughout the country. Her interests lie in building a strong relationship and understanding between design, marketing strategy and business. She continues to combine her passion for creativity with graphic design skills and technical expertise to provide creative services for both print and the internet. |
